We are very proud to announce that the Dragonfly 25 has been nominated to the European Yacht of the Year 2016 award in the multihull category. Here the Dragonfly 25 is up against larger cruising catamarans, and it is the only trimaran represented in the multihull category. The European Yacht of Year award is the most prestigious European award in the boat industry and is called the ‘Oscars of water sports’.
Previously, two Dragonflys have won the European Yacht of the Year award: the Dragonfly 920 Extreme in 2003, and the Dragonfly 35 in 2008. The Dragonfly 28 and Dragonfly 32 have also been nominated for this award. The winner of the prize will be revealed at the BOOT Düsseldorf boat show in January 2016 at a gala dinner for the whole boat industry – and this is an evening we of course look forward to with great excitement.
We have just sent out a new newsletter where you can read more about this nomination, but also a thorough account of this year’s Silverrudder regatta. Anders Bastiansen from the yard in the Dragonfly 28 finished second and Jens Quorning in the Dragonfly 25 finished fourth.
